COOPERATIVE Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma said she will announce her future plans only in January next year.
“I will speak in January. Ask me in January- for now lets see,” said Dlamini-Zuma when asked on whether she intends resigning from Cabinet as Minister.
Dlamini-Zuma was the first ANC MP to break ranks to vote yes in support of the Section 89 Independent Panel report during a sitting of Parliament on Tuesday.
History will remember Dr Nkosazana-Dlamini Zuma as a woman who stood and protected the constitution of the Republic South Africa against all odds when it was not a fashionable things to do.

That women must be nominated from the floor and emerge. Zweli Mkhize lacks a back bone!
If Parliament secured a needed majority, impeachment proceedings against President Cyril Ramaphosa were going to go ahead.
The bold move made by Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma might the end her political career in the ANC but she will remain in the hearts of ordinary South Africans as a leader with a conscious, who put people first. These others cowards are playing game of thrones with people lives🚮! pic.twitter.com/6fSxumZNQZ

Two loud mouths chickened out but Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma stood her ground. Proof enough that she is not in it for her stomach but to serve and uphold the constitution she fought for. Amandla Mbokodo ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾 pic.twitter.com/Bg2xqzokVQ
214 Members of Parliament voted against the adoption of the Section 89 Independent Panel report on the Phala Phala saga, while only 148 voted in support of the motion.
The outcome of the vote means that Ramaphosa will not face the impeachment proceedings as earlier predicted.ANC MPs who voted for the adoption of the report included Dlamini-Zuma, Supra Mahumapelo, Mervyn Dirks, Mosebenzi Zwane, and Thandi Mahambehlala.
A defiant Dlamini-Zuma said she has no regrets about her decision to vote against a party line.
She maintains that she read the Phala Phala report by Parliament and she voted in accordance with her understanding.
“I’m a public representative so I voted according to my understanding of the report. I read it thoroughly and I supported it,” Dlamini-Zuma said.
Asked on whether she was not afraid of losing her job, Dlamini Zuma said: “Well, I serve at the behest of the president. If he wants to reshuffle me, even this minute, it’s his right, it’s his democratic right. So, I won’t hold it against him.”
