SOUTH African coach Pitso Mosimane has achieved great success once again by leading Al Ahli Saudi to clinch the Yelo League title in Saudi Arabia.
In a thrilling match on Tuesday, his team secured a 1-0 victory over Al-Qadisiyah, thus securing the 2022-23 Saudi First Division title. This triumph marks the 19th major trophy that Mosimane has won during his impressive 22-year coaching career.
With this victory, Al Ahli has earned promotion to the Saudi Pro League for the upcoming season. Mosimane’s exceptional coaching skills have now allowed him to win league titles in three different countries.
Prior to his time in Saudi Arabia, Mosimane achieved remarkable success with South Africa’s national team, Bafana Bafana, as well as with Mamelodi Sundowns, winning a total of 18 titles across his tenure at both clubs.
His remarkable track record and ability to guide teams to victory have firmly established him as one of the most accomplished coaches in the game.

Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture, Zizi Kodwa, took to Twitter to extend his heartfelt congratulations to Coach Mosimane, recognizing yet another historic milestone in his illustrious career.
Kodwa expressed the admiration of South Africa for Mosimane’s continuous efforts in representing the nation with distinction.
“Congratulations Coach, yet another historic milestone on your excellent life, South Africa salutes you and appreciates your always putting all of us up,” said Kodwa.
Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi also joined in the congratulatory messages, commending Mosimane for his exceptional achievements and acknowledging the pride he has brought to the South African national team.
Following the news of Al Ahli’s search for a new coach in the Saudi Pro League, numerous football supporters have expressed their desire for Mosimane to return home and offer his expertise to the struggling Kaizer Chiefs football club in Johannesburg.
