Carl Niehaus, who is currently appealing an ANC National Disciplinary Committee (NDC) decision to expel him from the governing party, has staged a solo protest outside Parliament, urging MPs to support the impeachment of President Cyril Ramaphosa.
“I am in Cape Town, I have travelled here last night to join all the picketers outside Parliament today, demanding that ALL Members of Parliament (including @MyANC MP’s) MUST DO THE RIGHT THING and vote for the adoption of the Report of the Independent Panel,” Niehaus posted on social media.
Niehaus slammed the NDC for failing to communicate its decision to expel him from the party directly to him.
Answering the Media: I have no clue about this Annonymous threat statement . Who ever he/she is can go jump. I’ve never been involved In underworld activities, hence I’m supporting section 89 Enquiry. Politics of thuggery must be exposed, especially if they are in govt. pic.twitter.com/O93jT55zFp

He said the dramatic leaking of the letter to the media was all part of driving a nefarious ‘propaganda’ against him.
“This is truly the day after the NDC decided to put the letter out on Social media that they have expelled me from ANC. No respect. No courtesy to send the letter directly to me as an affected member.”
🇿🇦 Today is all about accountability in Parliament.

“Only the disingenuous and the dishonest would argue that President Ramaphosa has no case to answer on Phala Phala. So, for once, let Parliament do its job and get to the bottom of this story.” – @jsteenhuisen pic.twitter.com/ud4PyLutvT
