Scores of ANC supporters are expected to join party leaders in Mbombela for the birthday rally on Saturday.
The governing party turns 112 this year amid governance, financial and operational troubles.
The week-long celebrations included door-to-door campaigns before ahead of the rally, with the ANC expected to use the occasion to punt itself for the upcoming 2024 general elections.
Mpumalanga ANC secretary, Muzi Chirwa, said preparations for the event were on track.
ANC is likely to highlight some of its wins, including the slight dip in crime figures which was recorded in August as well as paving the way towards the manifesto launch next month, which means the party will want to focus more on its victories since coming into power.
