Award-winning rapper Cassper Nyovest turned his latest Fill Up Toyota Stadium concert into a night of celebration and personal revelation, announcing that he and his wife, Pulane Mojaki, are expecting a baby.

Nyovest, who has spent more than a decade staging some of South Africa’s biggest stadium shows, admitted ahead of the event that the road to this year’s Fill Up had been anything but simple.

In an Instagram video, he spoke of the mix of emotions and financial strain that accompanied preparations. “Going broke again… Money dry, excited, tired, happy, sad. These are the emotions, and this is what it takes to pull off something like this,” he said, reflecting on the challenges and why he has often considered stepping away from the series.

Despite setbacks and sponsorships that did not materialise, Nyovest expressed gratitude to the partners who stood by him, including Toyota South Africa, and to the fans who filled the stadium.

He described the concert as more than just music, saying it was about creating moments that uplift spiritually and resonate long after the lights go down.

The announcement of his growing family underscored that sentiment, with the rapper using the stage to share joy and vulnerability with supporters. Known for his ambition and connection to audiences, Nyovest thanked his dancers, band, crew, Bridge Entertainment, and every fan who bought a ticket, calling them his source of hope when the pressure felt overwhelming.

The Fill Up Toyota Stadium event reaffirmed Nyovest’s legacy as one of South Africa’s most influential performers, while his personal revelation gave fans a glimpse into the man behind the music.
