Tens of thousands of Economic Freedom Fighters’ supporters have gathered at the Giant Stadium north of Pretoria, to listen to the party’s Commander-in-Chief Julius Malema deliver the elections manifesto this afternoon.

Exuberant EFF supporters arrived as early as 6am from various provinces, some from as far afield as Limpopo, Mpumalanga and the Free State, cramming into the small Giant Stadium in Soshanguve for the party’s elections manifesto, singing, dancing and cheering as they wait for their charismatic leader to address them.

The party’s elections manifesto is expected to focus on various imperatives such as land reform and the nationalisation of strategic mineral resources, endemic corruption and a comprehensive plan to create jobs in South Africa for millions of unemployed youth.

The stage has been set and ready for hours now, and perky volunteers are currently handing out dozens of red T-shirts and caps emblazoned with various slogans and pay-off lines.
