THE Global Centre for Academic Research (GCAR) and the Centre for Africa Diplomacy and Leadership (CADL) will host a seminar at the University of Johannesburg through the South African Research Chairs Initiative on Tuesday that will involve podcasts and broadcasts.

GCAR Managing Director King Costa invited media and Gauteng citizens to join in the dialogue and said the event aims to foster informed public discourse and enhance citizen awareness of the impactful initiatives undertaken by the Gauteng Provincial Government.

The dialogue is expected to provide a platform for esteemed panelists to discuss the recent achievement of the GPG across key factors such as Safety and Security, Youth Employment, Economic Development, and Education.

Costa said the discussions will be purely delimited to achievements and similar initiatives, offering insights into the positive impacts of government actions on the lives of Gauteng residents.

“In an era marked by rapid information dissemination and evolving public discourse, it is imperative to highlight and celebrate government achievements that contribute to the well-being and prosperity of citizens. By focusing exclusively on successes, these dialogues seek to underscore the importance of transparent communication and informed decision-making in fostering trust and accountability in governance,” he said.

Costa said the dialogues will explore the significance of information about government achievements, examining their implications for citizen engagement, trust in government, and the overall socio-economic development of Gauteng.

He said panelists will have the opportunity to share insights, perspectives, and practical experiences related to the communication and dissemination of government achievements.

Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi will participate in the dialogue.
