The Soweto Derby lit up the FNB Stadium this weekend with a carnival of noise, cheerful spectators, colour, and passion.
Orlando Pirates wasted no time in stamping their authority, and when Tshepang Moremi’s strike deflected into the net, the Buccaneers’ fans erupted in song and dance.

Kaizer Chiefs supporters, though stunned, kept their drums beating, determined to rally their team back into the contest.
As the match unfolded, the Pirates’ flair shone through.

Oswin Appollis glided down the left flank, finishing with calm precision to double the lead, and the stadium roared with delight.
Kaizer Chiefs tried to push forward, but their attacks fizzled against a resolute Pirates defense.


The final act came when Evidence Makgopa rose high to head home the third goal, sealing a memorable 3 – 0 triumph.
Pirates walked away not just with victory, but with the summit of the Betway Premiership firmly in their grasp.
