KWAITO star Nomasonto Maswanganyi, popularly known as Mshoza, has died at the age of 37.
The renowned artist died on Thursday morning after complications from diabetes, according to his record label Ambitiouz Records.
A daily newspaper reported in June that the musician contracted the coronavirus during its peak months in the country.
Mshoza was one of the remaining kwaito legends in South Africa.
The kwaito star has had an illustrious career spanning at least two decades.
Mshoza began her music career at the age of 10 and was famous for her hit song Kortez, featuring Mzambiya,
She leaves behind two kids, a daughter Pride Mnisi (10) and a son, Junior Mnisi (8).
