Ze Nxumalo, who describes himself as a “natural-born hustler,” was this week linked to high-profile figures and an alleged criminal network by Witness A at the Madlanga Commission.

According to Witness A, Nxumalo was part of a network connected to, among others, Katiso “KT” Molefe — a controversial businessman currently under investigation for murder.

A rising figure in South Africa’s business landscape, a man who on paper has built his reputation as a savvy businessman through ventures in transport and logistics, Nxumalo gained traction by investing in Uber vehicles and later became an independent advisor to SA Taxi, the country’s largest minibus taxi finance provider.

His role positioned him as a strategic bridge between many high-profile individuals, but Witness A’s testimony at the Madlanga Commission described Nxumalo as a “tall Zulu man” from Sandton, allegedly linked to suspended Deputy National Police Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya and Julius Malema.

Witness A claimed Nxumalo was part of a network connected to Molefe, but did not get into further details.

His explosive testimony at the commission has raised questions about who this savvy businessman is and how far his links to high-profile figures reach.

Here’s what you need to know:

Legal action against celebrity gossip writer Musal Khawula over defamation. Nxumalo filed a complaint against the controversial figure after he accused him of fraud and infidelity on social media posts.

Beyond transport, Nxumalo launched Mobalyz, a platform aimed at empowering young South Africans through digital tools and mentorship.

Nxumalo is reportedly married to former Miss SA and Miss Universe first runner-up 2018, Tamaryn Green.

Despite allegations aired at the commission, Nxumalo has not been formally charged with any crime.

His name, however, continues to surface in discussions around political influence and elite networks.
