The DHL Stormers reignited their United Rugby Championship campaign with a commanding 32–19 victory over the Vodacom Bulls in Pretoria, to reaffirm their dominance in South Africa’s traditional North-South derby.

Played at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, the clash lived up to its billing as one of the fiercest rivalries in domestic rugby.

From the outset, the Stormers imposed themselves physically, disrupting the Bulls’ rhythm and forcing errors at crucial moments.

The Bulls got the scoreboard rolling after a penalty try in their favour. The Stormers came back, however, and had a slight 10-7 lead at halftime after scoring a try and a penalty.

Stormers dominated in the 2nd half as their forwards got the upper hand, outscoring their opponents by 3 tries to 2 in the final 40 minutes.

For the Stormers, the win is more than just points on the board; it is a statement of intent. For the Bulls, it is a reminder that in this derby, confidence alone is never enough.
