Terms and Conditions

Last updated: July 29, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Inside Politics website and our digital subscription services. By accessing the website, creating an account or purchasing a subscription, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them together with our Refund and Cancellation Policy and our Privacy Policy, both published on this website, which form part of these Terms.

1. About us

Inside Politics is a South African digital news publication. Questions about these Terms can be sent to sibandzetk88@gmail.com.

2. Our service

We publish news, analysis and related editorial content. Some content is free to read; premium content and unrestricted access to the site require a paid subscription. We may, at our discretion, offer metered access (a limited number of free premium articles per period). Metered access is a promotional benefit and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.

3. Accounts and registration

  • You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
  • Your account and subscription are personal to you. Keep your login credentials confidential and do not share them.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts used in breach of these Terms.

4. Subscriptions, billing and automatic renewal

  • Subscription fees are billed in advance in South African Rand (ZAR) at the price and billing interval displayed at checkout (for example monthly, or every 3, 6, 12 or 24 months).
  • Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and your payment method is charged the then-current subscription price, until you cancel.
  • Payments are processed securely by Payfast (Pty) Ltd. We do not store your card details on our servers.
  • Prices include VAT where applicable.

5. Free trials

Where a free trial is offered, its duration is disclosed at sign-up. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your first subscription payment is charged automatically when the trial expires and your subscription then renews as described above. Free trials are limited to one per person and we may withdraw or amend trial offers at any time.

6. Price changes

We may change subscription prices from time to time. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice of a price change by email or by prominent notice on the website. The new price applies from your next billing period after the notice period. If you do not accept a price change, you may cancel your subscription before it takes effect.

7. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the My Account → Subscription area of this website, or by contacting us at sibandzetk88@gmail.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period and you retain access until then. Refunds are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy, published on this website.

8. Intellectual property

All content published on Inside Politics — including articles, images, graphics, logos and design — is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights owned by or licensed to us. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial right to access and read the content. You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, scrape or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission, except as permitted by law.

9. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the website for any unlawful purpose.
  • Do not circumvent, or attempt to circumvent, the paywall or any other technical restriction on access to content.
  • Do not share your credentials or make systematic or automated copies of content, including for text and data mining or the training of machine-learning models, without our written permission.
  • Do not interfere with the proper operation of the website.

10. Availability and disclaimers

We strive to keep the website available and its content accurate, but to the extent permitted by law the service is provided “as is” and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Content is provided for general information and does not constitute professional, financial or legal advice.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law (including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008), our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with your use of the service is limited to the subscription fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

12. Privacy

We process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Please see our Privacy Policy, published on this website, for details of what we collect and how we use it.

13. Your consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified on the website or by email. Your continued use of the service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
