Ayanda Allie claims BOSA demanded two years’ levies before expulsion

Former Build One South Africa (BOSA) Gauteng MPL Ayanda Allie says the party demanded she pay two years’ worth of outstanding levies before expelling her following a long-running dispute over party finances and constituency funding.

BOSA announced last week that it had terminated Allie’s membership following an internal disciplinary process that began in July 2025. 

The party said it had made repeated efforts through engagement, consultation and mediation to resolve the matter but there was no viable basis for doing so. It also said Allie had been afforded an opportunity to appeal the Board’s decision but chose not to do so, making her expulsion final.

In a statement posted to her X account on Monday, Allie gave her account of the dispute, saying it stemmed from disagreements over party salary levies, constituency funding and the disciplinary process that ultimately led to her dismissal.
