PROPHET Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary have fled South Africa, skipping their strict bail conditions.
Bushiri said in a statement that he and his wife temporarily left for Malawi due to safety concerns.
The couple was only allowed to travel within Gauteng and North West until the case was finalised after being granted bail of R200 000 each by the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on November 4.
He said they will only avail themselves once there is an agreement to give him a fair, just and impartial trial.
The pair face charges of fraud, theft and money laundering and are currently out on bail.
