The Presidency has confirmed that President Cyril Ramaphosa received a section 7(9)notice from the Public Protector; a formal notification that a person has been implicated in an investigation by the Public Protector’s office.
Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane told DA leader Mmusi Maimane that Ramaphosa is implicated in her investigation into the R500,000 donation from Bosasa CEO Gavin Watson, Business Day reports.
It’s understood the president was served the notice on May 30 and given 10 days to respond. President Ramaphosa requested an extension and Mkhwebane granted an extension until 21 June 2019.
Ramaphosa further requested to cross-examine several witnesses which had testified before the Public
