PRESIDENT Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed Mosotho Moepya as the new Chairperson of Electoral Commission of South Africa, with effect from 15 October 2022.
He replaces Glen Mashinini whose seven-year term ended in April this year.
Ramaphosa has wished Moepya well in his new role.
“Moepya has extensive knowledge and experience of the powers and functions of the Electoral Commission,” said Ramaphosa.
Moepya has served as full-time member of Electoral Commission since 2018 after holding various senior positions since 1998.
