SACP national chairperson and Higher Education, Science and Innovation Minister Blade Nzimande has urged South Africans not to get bogged down by the Phala Phala forex scandal.
Nzimande was speaking in Cape Town V&A Waterfront for the launch of the Hydrogen Economy workshop.
“As a country, we should focus on how we develop our economy. Part of that is to develop alternative sources of energy and how do we ensure job creation and forget about Phala Phala, frankly,” said Nzimande.
“Those people who are using that for their own narrow political ends saying the President must go- let’s just forget about that, the President will be here by the way focusing on what we should be focusing on.”
