The ANC has expressed confidence that it will match the EFF’s manifesto launch by filling the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban to the brim on Saturday during the ruling party’s manifesto launch.
The stadium can seat over 65 000 people, and party Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula said that preparations were being finalised and the party was expecting over 70 000 people to attend the rally.
Mbalula said that the manifesto launch coincides with their Mayihlome campaign, and the party has been all over the province working with its volunteers in encouraging KwaZulu-Natal communities to vote for the ANC,by listening to their needs.
Deputy Secretary-General Nomvula Mokonyane said she expects the Durban beachfront will be painted in green, black, and gold as it will be one of the viewing venues for the rally and confirmed that President Cyril Ramaphosa was expected to give his address around 11:00 on Saturday morning.

Mokonyane joined the South African National Civics Organisation (SANCO) Khuluma Mhlali programme as part of mobilising towards the manifesto launch.
For the past week, Ramaphosa, the other top six officials and dozens of NEC members have been in the province to mobilise support for the launch, and said that he and his party have been humbled by the reception they have received in KwaZulu-Natal.
“The reception of people of this province to the ANC is more than warm. You can just feel the heartbeat of the support that the ANC has. I think the ANC is ready to take the province by storm,” the president said.
