President Cyril Ramaphosa will launch the second phase of the Business and Government Partnership on Tuesday.

The partnership was formed more than a year ago with the goal of obtaining progress in energy, transportation and logistics, as well as combating crime and corruption, as drivers of economic growth and job creation.

Earlier this month, Ramaphosa said: “We have reaffirmed our commitment to a dynamic partnership between government and business to foster South Africa’s economic growth and social advancement.”

He said while the challenges that lay ahead were formidable, with the continued partnership the country was well equipped to navigate these complexities and contribute to the sustainable growth for South Africa.

According to the government, the partnership has made significant progress, particularly in terms of reducing load-shedding.

Ramaphosa, senior government officials and business leaders will provide feedback on current progress and goals for the coming year.
