ActionSA has confirmed Xolani Khumalo, host of the controversial investigative show Sizok’thola, as its mayoral candidate for the City of Ekurhuleni ahead of the 2026 local government elections.
Khumalo is known on TV screens through his work on the MojaLove programme Sizok’thola, where alleged drug dealers in South African communities are confronted.
In 2023, Khumalo faced legal challenges as he was charged with murder, robbery, and malicious damage to property. He appeared in the Palm Ridge Regional Court in April 2025, where the charges were provisionally withdrawn.
ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba has described Khumalo as fearless and committed to reclaiming Ekurhuleni from criminal elements.
