SOCIALITE doctor Nandipha Magudumana and her co-accused Teboho Dipholo are returning to the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court on Monday.
Last week, Magudumana, her co-accused and former G4S employee who allegedly helped Thabo Bester escape prison, were remanded in custody to allow the state more time to investigate all issues and for a possible bail application.
Magudumana is facing multiple charges, including fraud, murder, violation of a dead body, and aiding and abetting.
Meanwhile, in the same court, Magudumana’s father, Cornelius Sekeleni, and former G4S prison warden Senohe Matsoara, who are accused of aiding and abetting the escape of convict Thabo Bester, will also be appearing.
Last week, 65-year-old, Sekeleni, from Port Edward in KwaZulu-Natal was taken into custody on Friday, while 39-year-old former G4S employee Matsoara was arrested in Bloemfontein on Saturday.
Police have charged them with aiding and abetting a convicted prisoner’s escape from lawful custody.
The magistrate had ordered both to remain in custody until their next court appearance.
Over the weekend, reports emerged of how notorious convicted murderer Thabo Bester enjoyed quality time with his girlfriend Dr. Magudumana in luxury hotels in Durban while he was supposed to be in prison.
Bester and Magudumana were arrested in Tanzania on Good Friday after escaping from South Africa.
Bester appeared in court last week, and his case has been postponed until May 16, 2023.
