South African political parties wrapped up their election campaigns at the weekend with most promising jobs, land and rooting out corruption.
Nearly 27-million people have registered to vote on 8 May for a new Parliament and provincial legislatures, representing about 75 percent of the eligible population.
South Africans will get to choose from a record 48 political parties on Wednesday in what is expected to be a closely contested election since 1994. The IEC has said it will open 22,924 voting stations with special votes expected to take place on Monday and Tuesday.
