THE South African United Business Confederation (AUBC) has announced its rebranding and repositioning, effective immediately, as the African United Business Confederation (AUBC).
This strategic decision is in response to popular demand and the economic development spurred by the vision of the African Union (AU) and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
George Sebulela, President of the AUBC, expressed his enthusiasm, stating: “We are thrilled to embark on this new chapter as the African United Business Confederation. Our decision to reposition was driven by the demand from our members, partners, and the recognition of Africa’s immense potential as a unified economic force. We align ourselves with the AU’s Vision 2063 and the aspirations of AfCFTA, positioning AUBC as a force that will drive Africa’s economic development.”
The AUBC acknowledges the pivotal role played by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in promoting intra-African trade, creating jobs, and fostering sustainable economic growth.
With the support of esteemed individuals such as Wamkele Mene, Secretary-General of AfCFTA, and the endorsement of the African Union, the AUBC is dedicated to championing the principles and objectives of AfCFTA.
The vision of the African United Business Confederation is clear: to position Africa as the premier global investment destination.
AUBC aims to unlock Africa’s vast economic potential and facilitate cross-border trade and investment.
Through collaboration and partnerships, both within the continent and globally, AUBC will drive inclusive economic growth, create employment opportunities, and foster innovation across all sectors.
To demonstrate its commitment to these objectives, AUBC will showcase two innovative initiatives at the upcoming media launch.
The first initiative is its state-of-the-art AUBC virtual trade platform, which will revolutionize business transactions, promote cross-border trade, and create a seamless marketplace for African businesses to connect with global partners.
The second initiative is the introduction of AUBC Digital TV, a cutting-edge platform designed to profile industries and their activities across Africa, foster collaboration, and share success stories with a global audience.
