Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi has accepted an apology from Brigadier Abraham Nkwashu following remarks made at the Madlanga Commission regarding the transfer of J50 arrest warrant dockets.
In a written apology on Saturday issued through his lawyers, Nkwashu said his earlier testimony created the impression that Lesufi may have acted improperly or interfered in the transfer of the dockets.

He clarified that he was not aware of any legal authority allowing the Premier to issue a directive for the transfer of dockets at the time of his testimony, but acknowledged that his statement was misleading.
“I regret that my words created the impression that you acted improperly, engaged in political interference, or behaved unethically,” Nkwashu said.
