Durban’s ICC came alive on Saturday night as the 20th Metro FM Music Awards (MMAs) crowned South Africa’s finest talents.


The ceremony, hosted by Lerato Kganyago and Lawrence Maleka, marked the station’s 40th anniversary and delivered unforgettable performances from DJ Tira, Nomfundo Hlophe, Shandesh, and Nkosazana.
The night belonged to Ciza, who walked away with Artist of the Year and Best Male Artist, cementing his place as one of Mzansi’s biggest stars.



Shandesh dazzled with her win as Best Female Artist, while Kharishma claimed Best New Artist and added sparkle to the Lekompo category.
Thukuthela and Jazzworld stole the spotlight, scooping three major awards: Best Produced Album, Best Dance, and Best Duo or Group, proving their dominance in the dance and collaborative scene.
