KwaZulu-Natal’s capital is in a dire state with the municipality failing to deliver on the most basic of services.

With the MK Party potentially taking control of Msunduzi, local activists also fear that an opportunity to improve the municipality could be lost. They argue that the party, which includes numerous former ANC members, could entrench political interference rather than reform the administration.
