PRESIDENT Cyril Ramaphosa says efforts to revive the ANC Youth League are currently underway.
This follows the establishment of the youth league’s National Youth Task Team (NYTT) on Wednesday.
Ramaphosa was speaking in Fort Beaufort, Eastern Cape, during the provincial observance of struggle stalwart Charlotte Maxeke’s 150th birthday celebrations.
The president told local residents that the youth wing would soon make a comeback.
“I’m particularly pleased that we have a youth league core that is now going to revive the youth league. They will revive the youth league and return it to the Youth League of Nelson Mandela, Oliver Tambo, Walter Sisulu and many others,” said Ramaphosa.
“The youth league is about to take off and I am really please about this leadership core that we have put in place and they want, as they said, they are committed to uniting the ANC.”
