The DA says it wants a full audit on the election results across all provinces, following several fraud allegations in certain areas.
James Selfe, the party’s chairperson of the federal executive, told Inside Politic that the DA met with several parties on Wednesday to force the IEC to conduct an audit report on how the voting process transpired.
Selfe said the issue of going to court was not an option as it would plunge the country into “chaos, even a civil war and negatively affect investor confidence”.

“We have compelling evidence that probably thousands of people voted more than once in many areas and we feel a full audit will assist us to get to the bottom of this,” said Selfe.
