Former President Jacob Zuma and top National Prosecuting Authority
officials were on the payroll of Bosasa, according to an affidavit by former
Bosasa COO Angelo Agrizzi.
The Sunday Times reported on Sunday that Agrizzi will reveal this and
more before the Zondo Commission of Inquiry into State Capture on
Monday and throughout the week.
Agrizzi’s affidavit claims among others that Gavin Watson made payments
to Zuma, suspended deputy national director of public prosecutions
Nomngcobo Jiba and special director of public prosecutions Lawrence
Mrwebi in return for their protection from prosecution.
According to the affidavit, Zuma received a R300,000 monthly
payment. Bosasa also paid Jiba and Mrwebi R100,000 and R10,000 a
month respectively, Agrizzi will claim.
Agrizzi took to the stand on Wednesday and has revealed bombshell after
bombshell as he related years of corruption at the Krugersdorp facilities
management company.
