NELLIE Tembe, the 22-year-old fiancé of the superstar rapper AKA died on Sunday after falling from the 10th floor of a Cape Town hotel, reports said.
The death was being investigated as a suicide.
Western Cape police spokesman Captain Frederick van Wyk said: “Cape Town central police are investigating an inquest case after an incident at a hotel at about 7:45AM at the corner of Loop and Bloem Streets in the Cape Town CBD. The body of a 22-year-old woman was found deceased.”
AKA had posted pictures on Saturday night from a Cape Town nightclub.
The couple was at the hotel as part of the celebrations for one of the rapper’s friends, according to the Daily Sun.
A leading South African tabloid Sunday World reported that Nellie was “suffering from depression.
