Two brothers implicated in the murders of rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane have been remanded in custody in the Kingdom of eSwatini while South African authorities file applications for their extradition to face charges here.
The Manzini Magistrate Court in Eswatini ruled on Tuesday that Siyabonga Gezani Ndimande and Malusi Dave Ndimande will remain in Eswatini while awaiting the extradition process.
The brothers were arrested and detained by the Royal Eswatini Police Services in the capital Mbabane three weeks ago and they face charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
During their previous appearance, State Prosecutor Macebo Nxumalo told the court that their South African counterpart had yet to file the official extradition request.
Nxumalo said they are still within the 30-day deadline prescribed for extradition applications.
He further requested the court to grant them permission to hand over to the South African Police
