Kelly Rowland and her Destiny’s Child sister Beyoncé made a much-anticipated appearance on Friday in Houston at Kamala Harris‘ “Reproductive Rights” rally, the latest in the Vice President’s campaign for president. The pair was introduced by Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, who affectionately referred to Rowland as one of her bonus daughters, though the two are not biologically related.
“I have been so blessed in my life in my life to have many careers, many Black jobs,” Knowles said, referencing a “Black jobs” comment from former president Donald Trump.
“But I have said before, the best job that I ever had was being a mother. I’ve had the privilege of raising and helping to raise four daughters, and I also take immense pride in being Mama Tina to so many young women and men.”
