The Special Official Funeral of Justice Fikile Eunice Mokgohloa drew to a close with a deeply moving farewell marked by dignity and reverence.

As a police guard of honour led her to her final resting place, the gathering of family and friends, including dignitaries, reflected the immense respect held for a jurist whose career embodied integrity, independence, and service to justice.

At the Hillsong Church in Wonderboom, Pretoria, mourners gathered in large numbers to pay tribute to the late Justice of the Supreme Court of Appeal.

Among them was the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Ms Mmamoloko Kubayi.

Justice Mokgohloa’s legacy was remembered not only in her judgments but in her unwavering commitment to fairness and the rule of law.

Colleagues and members of the legal fraternity described her as a figure of intellectual rigour and diligence, whose work strengthened the foundations of South Africa’s judiciary.
