Deputy President Paul Mashatile will on Saturday preside at the Launch of the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children Campaign for 2023.
The event will take place at Nsikazi Stadium, Khumbula Village, Gutshwa, in the City of Mbombela, Mpumalanga Province.
This year’s 16 Days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children Campaign campaign will be commemorated under the theme: “Accelerating Actions to end Gender Based Violence and Femicide, leaving no one behind” – a call to action to raise awareness about the devastating impact that gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF) has on women, children, and the entire social fabric.
Mashatile said the government continues to lead efforts aimed at eradicating gender-based violence and femicide, working together with civil-society movements as well as the private sector.
