In an effort to fast-track the government’s response to service delivery concerns, Deputy President Paul Mashatile has unveiled a Parliamentary constituency office (PCO) in Ntuzuma, eThekwini.

He told reporters on Saturday that the office would strengthen communication between community members and the government.

“When I come, they will tell me there is a challenge in this area, people are complaining about social grants or there is challenge of water and so on.

“Those are the things that will help us to respond quickly and faster because communities get frustrated when we do not respond quickly. When they have issues and do not know where to go,” he said.

PCOs are local offices where MPs help people in their communities with problems involving government services, legislation and public administration.
