Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan Demands Apology From ANCYL

The Minister of Public Enterprises, Pravin Gordhan on Tuesday demanded a public apology from the ANC Youth League, over allegations of his inability to bring structural redevelopment to State-Owned Entities (SOEs).

This follows an interview on Monday, in which the ANCYL President Malatji, criticized Gordhan for the increasing dilapidation of SOEs culminating in their sale, claiming that if left unchecked, the Minister will “sell everything”.

“We are told he is feared. We don’t fear him. Instead we are going to meet the president and tell him to remove him because South African Airways (SAA) is a good example. We were told SAA is collapsing and all of a sudden there are private partners and there’s an improvement,” Malatji said.
