Motorists have been given the green light to use the N3 again following heavy snowfalls over the weekend, however, they must do so with caution.
According to N3 Toll Concessions full mobility had been restored on the route.
“Although the road is now safe enough for travel, it is highly recommended that road users only commence their trips from Wednesday,” said N3TC chief operating officer Thania Dhoogra.
The snowfalls in the Free State and KwaZulu-Natal caused major traffic disruptions and saw motorists being stranded for almost two days between the Tugela Plaza and Harrismith.
Dhoogra also warned road users to travel during the day as it was safer.
