FORMER spy boss and Correctional Services commissioner Arthur Fraser on Wednesday laid a criminal complaint against President Cyril Ramaphosa at the Rosebank police station in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
The complaint relates to the alleged theft of money, allegedly hidden on Ramaphosa’s Phala Phala farm in Limpopo.
Fraser also alleges that suspects, colluding with Ramaphosa’s domestic worker, stole around 4 million US Dollars.
“The charges emanate from the theft of millions of US dollars, (in excess of 4-million) concealed within the premises of the president’s Phala Phala farm in Waterberg, Limpopo, by criminals who were colluding with his domestic worker,” Fraser said in a statement.
He said the suspects were kidnapped and interrogated on the President’s property and later bribed for their silence.
Fraser said Ramaphosa concealed the crime from both the police and the South African Revenue Services (SARS).
Fraser said the alleged burglary happened on 09 February 2020.
The former spy boss also claims to have supporting evidence that includes photographs, bank accounts, video footage and names.
“The president concealed the crime from the SA Police Service and/or SA Revenue Service (Sars) and thereafter paid the culprits for their silence,” said Fraser.
“The evidence I provide shows that the burglary took place on 9 February 2020.”
Fraser said the conduct of the president constitutes a breach of, among others, the Prevention of Organised Crime Act and the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act.
