SUPER Sports presenter, Thomas Kwenaite, wants FIFA to ban Senegalese referee Ndiaye Maguette for awarding what he claims was a dubious penalty to Ghana in the 1-0 victory over South Africa in the 2022 Qatar World Cup qualifier.
The ace South African football pundit is also calling on the World football governing body to replay the match with a more proficient referee.
Ghana scored the match’s only goal from the penalty spot after Daniel Amartey was fouled in the box.
Captain Andre Ayew expertly dispatched goalkeeper Rowen Williams to slot the ball at the bottom corner for the winner, which qualified the host to the playoffs of the qualifiers.
