RISE Mzansi leader Songezo Zibi said the party is focused on economic recovery, just and inclusivity which is the only way South Africa can attain real non-racialism.
Zibi was speaking at the media briefing on Wednesday at Ten Bompas Hotel in Dunkeld West, Joburg on the party’s readiness for the RISE Peoples Convention to take place on 6 to 8 October.
“We believe that economic justice is the only way we can have real non-racialism. But to deliver the life South Africans deserve, we need to fix our broken economy, such as the looming bankruptcy of the South African government.
“South Africa spends nearly R30-billion a month paying interest on debt. Transnet pays R1-billion a month on a collapsing balance sheet, all because the money was stolen,” said Zibi.
Statistics South Africa reported that the South African economy grew by 0.4 percent between January and March this year.
