LALELA Mswane was crowned Miss South Africa 2021 on Saturday night at the Grand Arena, Grand West in Cape Town, Western Cape.
The event was screened live from 17h00 on M-Net (DStv Channel 101) and Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161) and streamed online for an international audience.
Miss South Africa 2021 saw this year’s top 10 finalists competing for a package of prizes and sponsorships worth more than R3 million.
Mswane is a 22-year-old third-year student at the University of the Free State who is currently pursuing a BA degree in integrated organisational communication.
Hailing from Bloemfontein, the young student will receive R1 million in cash, the use of a fully-furnished apartment at Central Square Sandton, and a Mercedes Benz C class sedan for the year of her reign.
The beauty is using her platform as Miss South Africa to ensure that she is ” at the forefront of fighting against social injustices and celebrate one another for our authenticity and individualities.”
