Former ANN7 and AfroWorld View owner, Mzwanele Manyi, has announced his new political home as the African Transformation Movement (ATM).
Manyi began his speech by criticising the short comings of the ANC, stating that the ruling party was not implementing policies and delivering on the promises that they have been making. According to Manyi, the ANC is fatigued and needs to be allowed to retire.
“The ANC is tired; its lost its hegemony and shows signs of being captured by imperial forces. It is about time the ANC was allowed to retire,” he said.
The former Gupta-linked ANN7 boss outlined some of the beliefs of his new party, the ATM. Manyi described the ATM as the only organisation with the credentials to move society forward. The ATM is self-funded by its member and it has no baggage and history of corruption.
The president of the ATM, Vuyolwethu Zungula, welcomed Manyi
