Rugby Administrator Monde Tabata Dies

MONDE Tabata, a member of the SA Rugby Executive Council, has died after battling with the effects of the Covid-19, the SA Rugby has confirmed.

The Eastern Cape-born administrator started joining rugby in the province when he was still a student and he worked as an administrator in the union for a long time.

Tabata died at the age of 60 and he was also a famous businessman who owned businesses in Eastern Cape and Johannesburg.

Tabata was chosen onto SA Rugby Exco in 2010 where he served as member and chaired several committees until he met his death, on the other side he was also working as an administrator to Boarder and Eastern Province at the period of monetary problems to those unions.
