Isolated showers and thunderstorms are forecast across much of the interior of South Africa on Monday.
Gauteng will be cloudy and cool, although warmer in the extreme north, with isolated showers and thunderstorms expected. Johannesburg is forecast to reach 22°C after a minimum of 10°C, while Pretoria will range between 10°C and 23°C.
Mpumalanga will also be cloudy and cool, with isolated showers and thunderstorms, but warm in the Lowveld. Limpopo will be cloudy and cool to warm, with isolated showers and thunderstorms.
The North West and Free State will be partly cloudy and cool to warm, with isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Conditions will be drier in the Northern Cape, where temperatures will range from cool to warm and become hot in places before cloud develops during the afternoon.
Morning fog is expected along parts of the Western Cape coast, with generally fine to partly cloudy and warm to hot conditions elsewhere. Cape Town is forecast to reach 24°C.
The Eastern Cape will start with patches of fog before becoming partly cloudy and warm to hot. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible over the interior in the afternoon, spreading to places along the east coast in the eastern half of the province.
KwaZulu-Natal will see fog over the interior and isolated showers and rain in the extreme north-east in the morning. Isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms are possible in the west. Durban is forecast to be partly cloudy in the morning and evening, and otherwise fine, with a high of 26°C.
