Taxi boss Oupa Bafana Sindane handed himself over to the South African Police Service (SAPS) on Friday and appeared in the Kwaggafontein Magistrate’s Court to face extortion charges alongside Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni and two other accused.
Sindane is appearing alongside Sibanyoni, Philemon Makhaya Masilela, and Mvimbi Daniel Msiza.
Sindane is the fourth suspect in a criminal case involving alleged R2 million in extortion and money laundering.

Sindane is widely known in public entertainment circles as a friend of actress and businesswoman Amanda du Pont. The relationship has sparked significant tabloid drama as Sindane is reported to be married.
