WATCH: Hill-Lewis says MK Party should feel threatened by Democratic Alliance

Democratic Alliance (DA) Federal Leader Geordin Hill-Lewis has said that former president Jacob Zuma’s uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) should feel threatened by the DA in uMngeni, as he campaigned in KwaZulu-Natal ahead of the November 4 local government elections.

Hill-Lewis accused the MKP on Wednesday of having little to offer voters and questioned its ability to govern a municipality.

“The MKP should be threatened by us. The MK has nothing to offer the voters… I will give a prize to any person who can tell me what the MK stands for. They don’t even know what they stand for,” he said.

“They bring only chaos. They can’t even organise their internal leadership, never mind organise a municipality or fix a town or a broken city,” he told the media after a brief stop at an old age home in Howick.
