HUMAN Settlements Minister, Mmamoloko Kubayi, has handed over 1 300 title deeds to beneficiaries of fully subsidized government houses (RDPs) in Itsoseng, Ditsobotla Local Municipality in the North West.
Last Friday, ahead of the launch of President Cyril ramaphosa’s inaugural Presidential Imbizo in Mafikeng, Kubayi made an undertaking to community members that government’s priority in housing the nation would also focus on urgently unblocking projects for accelerated housing delivery.
During the meeting, residents of Itsoseng also raised concerns about various blocked projects in the Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality during her visit last Friday.
Delivering a strong message to the community against the sale of government subsidized homes, Kubayi cautioned: “As you receive these title deeds you are not given a license to sell houses or hand them over to loan sharks. Value what we are giving you today as your family asset and ensure that it is handed over
