The MTN8 semi-finals take centre stage this weekend, with Sekhukhune United hosting defending champions Orlando Pirates at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday before Mamelodi Sundowns welcome Golden Arrows to Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday.
Both first legs kick off at 15:00, with the high-stakes clashes likely to test two of South African football’s biggest clubs.
Pirates enter the semi-finals chasing history as they bid for a record fifth consecutive MTN8 title.
But standing in their way is a Sekhukhune side with home advantage and a clear opportunity to unsettle the defending champions.
The Polokwane clash gives Sekhukhune a chance to put Pirates under pressure ahead of the return leg at Orlando Amstel Arena on 29 August.
For Pirates, a positive result away from home would put them in a strong position to keep their remarkable MTN8 run on track.
